Almost a month after the launch in Scandinavia, EMT has confirmed the launch day of iPhone 3G in Estonia. iPhone gala will be held on 21st of August at 22:00 in Viru Centre downtown Tallinn.
Performances from the best Estonian artists and DJs include local Hip Hop legends DJ Critikal and DJ Paul Oja. Hostess of the event will be Heidy Purga. The entrance to the event will be granted for the first 1 000 registrants who email their name and mobile number at iphone@emt.ee.
First official iPhone in Estonia will be sold at midnight, yet the pricing of the phone remains uncertain even though it is rumoured that TeliaSonera’s Estonian branch, EMT, will sell it at a significantly higher price than in Sweden.

Sad innit? Time magazine’s invention of the year came out in June of 2007. It is now over a year and Estonians are yet to get the thing. The fact is that Estonia, despite being an american poodle and getting special privileges like entry to nato and visa-free access to the US, is still a low priority when it comes to the market for american products. The lesson? Lick more US ass. And lick it more effectively.
EE only got it because of Swedes. Without TeliaSonera interests involved, EE could have dreamed about having it on sale.
